Welcome Welcome to renegadesv.net, the personal website of Mike Hong. Feel free to look around. Menu is at the top. There's not too much here. This site is mostly a test site for stuff I'm working on that you'll probably never see.
Updates
5/4/09 - new pages...
i've wanted to write a lifestream application for a while... now it's finally done. it's kind of junky looking, but it works like it's supposed
to. check it out on the STREAM page. i also rewrote the news page to load faster, it now uses SimplePie, which caches the content. seems to work
pretty well...
4/21/09 - new host...
nothing much new.... just changed hosts and edited all the includes to work with this new host. hopefully i won't have to change again for
a long time.... e-rice was a great host cuz it was cheap, but then i realized if i can pay a little more and get unlimited domains, it would
end up being cheaper in the long run....
9/14/07
updated the viewlist.php code to use mod_rewrite urls, for better indexing by google. not that i really care about that stuff, but it's
something good to know how to do. mod_rewrite is incredibly scary powerful, and incredibly confusing since i always was somewhat confused
with regular expressions.
6/21/07
after a long, long, very long time of doing nothing to this site, i finally added rss feeds to news sites that i read regularly and
stock tickers for stocks i'm interested in... i used to have this on a widget on my desktop, but it seems like it's better on my home page
where i can view it from any computer.
7/8/06 - DONE
all functionality is up. time to squash any bugs I find.
7/7/06 - finally got around to redoing my site
like usual, plain and simple. most of the content is not up yet.
matthew 6:33 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
